Toronto Write for Rights 2017

Saturday, 09 December, 2017
13:00-19:00
Join us for the annual Toronto Write for Rights event!

4.6 million. That’s how many messages our movement sent last year to protect the rights of 10 individuals. Let’s do it again! Join the world's largest human rights event to support 10 human rights defenders.
  • Mahadine in Chad faces life in prison for Facebook posts.
  • Ni Yulan in China championed housing rights and is now often homeless herself.
  • Clovis in Madagascar wants to protect the rainforest but is threatened with imprisonment.

Drop in any time on Saturday afternoon, December 9th, at 720 Bathurst Street, south of the Bathurst subway station. We’ll have pens & paper, music, snacks, merchandise, petitions and lots of inspiration for you. This is a child-friendly and wheelchair accessible event.
