The largest gold deposit in Mexico is found in the community of El Carrizalillo, Guerrero, but its population lives in poverty. In early 2007 community landholders organized themselves to demand from Goldcorp Mining, a Canadian transnational company, a just annual payment for the land it uses and social benefits for the community.
Under An Open Sky is the story of a people that organized, fought and won.
