Kang’ethe Mungai speaks on the human rights situation in Kenya
Join Amnesty International and Kang'ethe Mungai on Wednesday April 21 at 7 pm at the Amnesty office, 1992 Yonge St. 3rd Floor.
Kang’ethe is a human rights activist from Kenya who was jailed for 6 years for his lawful political activities.
He has worked with Green Belt Movement, Release Political Prisoners (RPP) Lobby Group, People Against Torture, and the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights.
He has a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nairobi (1995) and has studied Human Rights at Columbia University in New York as a visiting scholar.
He will speak to the current human rights situation in Kenya today, particularly the fight to end impunity in Kenya.
