Raising money for human rights work is easy now. Here’s how:
  1. Once you have successfully registered for the race, you will receive a confirmation email of your entry from Eventsonline and be directed to the online fundraising program. You can now create your own personal fundraising page and start collecting pledges for Amnesty International.

  2. Enter your fundraising contact information, create a username and password. Makes sure you select Amnesty International as your charity of choice. Your username and password allow you to log onto the fundraising website whenever you want to send solicitation emails or check your fundraising results. Your username and log in information will be sent to you in a new confirmation email. Keep this email for easy access back to your fundraising site.

  3. Now you're ready to start fundraising. Once you're registered, you can start sending emails to family and friends asking for their support. Sponsors who donate online will receive a tax receipt in their email box. Sponsors who give you cash or cheque will receive a hard copy tax receipt once the donation has been sent in to Amnesty International at 312 Laurier Ave E, Ottawa, ON, K1N 1H9. Please ensure your sponsor has given his/her full name and mailing address for tax receipt purposes.
It’s easy. Here’s how:
  1. Give yourself a goal and let all your sponsors know what it is.
  2. If you reach your goal quickly, aim to beat it!
  3. Passion and enthusiasm are key. Giving your friends and family a good reason to support Amnesty International’s human rights work is crucial to your success.
