New Technologies Team
The team consist of a group of people specializing in or passionate about the effective use of new technologies (web, internet, e-mail, e-commerce) in promoting AI's work for human rights. The team maintains the AITO web site, which includes the merchandise catalogue.
Another goal of this team is to meet the increased interest from the public when the "news" focuses on a particular human rights crisis (i.e. Middle East, Darfur, Sudan). Many people want to be immediately directed to work on the crisis in question. The intent of the team is to provide the public with the information of "What's Hot" and how to act.

Toronto Business and Human Rights Group
Business is a key part of what each of us do every day, from working to shopping to watching TV, and it has a significant impact on the human rights of people around the globe. Amnesty International's Toronto Business and Human Rights Group advocates for human rights in areas like Socially Responsible Investing, Legal Reform, Conflict Diamonds, corporations in Colombia, and the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA).
We do everything from writing to the government about pension reform to taking to the streets to protest against the trade in conflict diamonds.
Meetings often include guest speakers to share information and help plan action.

| Indigenous Rights Team
Centuries of racism and oppression have denied indigenous peoples the opportunity to enjoy their basic human rights.
In every continent in the world, indigenous peoples are raising their voices against marginalization, impoverishment and victimization. We’re a group of passionate activists in the GTA working to support indigenous human rights defenders in their work to promote and protect the human rights of Indigenous peoples in Canada and abroad. We take part in related actions and plan art/solidarity and awareness events.
