| Background Ali Naraghi was born in Iran and grew up with music from an early age. Under his father’s instructions, he started playing the guitar at the age of eleven. Soon after immigrating to Canada in August 1996, he began his formal guitar studies with the great Iranian-Canadian guitarist and composer, Mr. Bagher Moazen. In 1998 only after two years of training he auditioned and was accepted in the classical guitar ensemble of the Guitar Society of Toronto. During and after his studies at the University of Toronto, Ali performed at a number of solo and group recitals including the University of Toronto Hart House concert series, Fairview Theatre, and North York Theatre. |
